The purpose of this qualification is to confirm competence in an occupational role to the standards required. The Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment other than assessing competence in a work environment.

- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
- Assess occupational competence in the work environment
- Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment). If you are not currently working as an assessor we also offer the Focus Awards Level 3 Understanding the Principles and Practises of Assessment RQF which is an assignment only unit which is a knowledge-only Award for those who are starting their journey as an assessor, or for those who need to know about assessment practice but who are not currently practicing.
This course follows a work-based route and has flexible start dates throughout the year. The course should take a maximum of one year to complete.
